IBG & Deposit Protection
What is an Insurance Backed Guarantee?
In the unlikely event of the installer ceasing to trade, the Insurance Backed Guarantee (IBG) covers the outstanding workmanship guarantee obligations. The policyholders can contact the insurer and the insurer will send qualified tradespeople to assess the problem if the claim is valid.

What is Deposit Protection insurance?
GDGC Accredited Installers may be able to safeguard a deposit payment by providing deposit protection insurance to their customers. Should the installer cease to trade, the deposit protection insurance is there to protect the customer financially. Deposits can be protected up to 25% of the installation contract value or £5,000 (whichever is the lesser amount) and last for up to 90 days from the contract signed date.*
* These are just some of the cover limits and features of the insurance policies that we can arrange. We are not the insurer and cover is subject to the insurers full policy terms and conditions. Not all selected installers can purchase deposit protection. If you would like to know more about the features, benefits, exclusions and limitations of the policies we offer, please feel free to contact us.
